For the last year or so I've been tossing around different ideas for a name for my model horse stable. As I've mentioned on here before, I used to enjoy coming up with names, profiles, and so on, for my horses. I've been thinking I'd like to get back into that, but I really want to have a name for the ranch, or stable, or farm where they live.
Do you have a model stable name? What is it and how did you decide on the name?
Mine is Windsong Stables, named when I was twelve years old. I lived on the Wabash River and loved the sound of the wind through the cottonwood trees. As an adult, I decided to change the name, but couldn't think of one I liked better than that or that better reflected where I live. So it is still Windsong Stables!
ReplyDeleteIn England, you sometimes get houses with names as well as/instead of numbers, such as Oak Cottage etc. When I started collecting model horses I lived in a house called Silverdale, and I liked the name so much that I named my stables Silverdale Acres.
ReplyDeleteI also like the idea of using a street/park/lake name near you/that has meaning to you in your stable/barn name.
TBF came from the model of the car called a Trail Blazer. I always liked that name and the car, so it kinda just stuck. I could change the name but it's TBF for me.
ReplyDeleteDaley Park is a combination of my father's name (Leigh) and my name (Danielle). He did the same for his business name (Danleigh), albeit slightly different and some ten years before me!
ReplyDeleteMine is Stone Song Stables because it was the name I used as my Horse Eden account.
