Every year in early December one of the local wineries puts on an event they call Fezziwig. Several wine and food pairings are offered and all of the employees dress up like characters from A Christmas Carol. It is a fun time. Jeff had gone once before we met and then we had gone together for a few years. Then we stopped going, he'd missed two of them due to being deployed. This year we had some friends who really wanted to go check it out, so today that's what we did. Things have changed since the last time Jeff and I had gone. One of the big additions is a mini play, telling the story of A Christmas Carol, that travels throughout the winery. That was fun to see.
Our friends wanted to go this morning to try and beat the crowds. I thought that would be good, I could come home afterwards and get a lot done! Silly me. Going on an empty stomach, pretty much first thing in the morning, to have what amounted to 5 glasses of wine was NOT a good thing to do. Needless to say, I haven't gotten anything done today. Ah well, it was a day of fun with friends and it was neat to see another Fezziwig after a few years away.
