This past weekend was the Misawa City Festival. One of the events was a float parade. Here are a handful of pictures (and video!) of some of the amazing floats that we saw.
Yes! I loved how intricate many of them were! I have no idea what they are depicting; we were thinking they must be telling stories. At least a few seemed to show epic battles with dragons, horses, and warriors. I'm planning to ask some of the Japanese people that I've met here. :)
My goodness, a glimpse of a really different culture. And the sound track! Brings back marching in the Tournament of Roses: the difficulty turning a corner! Ask what the rabbits mean... I keep seeing them.
