Model Horse Monday

At the tail end of this model horse Monday, I present: my view from bed.

My studio is small, this is the smallest one I've had, and now it has a bed right in the middle of the chaos.  It's a bit of a story how that came about and the story is still unfolding.  For now I will say... I like it.  I go to bed and wake up surrounded by things that are pretty and inspiring to me.  That's pretty cool.  This is a temporary situation, hopefully, but I've been enjoying it.

(I hope you are enjoying my sputtering attempts to get back on the blog train!)

  1. I don't think I could fit a bed inside my studio - it's too small and cluttered - but I don't know if I would like it if I could. Part of me thinks it would be great to have a view of all my pretty things, but another part might get hung up on all things that need to be finished.

    1. I had wondered about that being a problem - being surrounded by unfinished projects. Sleep hygiene tips say things like how you shouldn't do work in your bedroom. However, I've actually been sleeping really well in there.

  2. Sleeping in the tack room! This takes me straight back to college and after. Those years were some of the happiest of my life, even though I was truly a 'starving artist' and deep in debt.

    1. I've been pretty darn happy "camping" in there, despite being crammed in like a sardine with all of my plastic ponies and paraphernalia.

  3. lol, my studio is ON my bed! I do a lot of my work sitting on my bed with a tray in my lap.

    1. Maybe that can be my workaround for the bed blocking my painting desk - ha!
